The Nief-Norf Summer Festival takes place at the University of Tennessee Knoxville school of music, which is home to the brand new Natalie L. Haslam Music Center, a state of the art facility with a modern design sensibility and floor-to ceiling windows that flood the building with natural light. An All-Steinway school, the School of Music is also a key performance venue in the area, offering over 200 concerts and events per year.
All participants should plan to arrive the morning/afternoon of the first day of the festival and depart after 12pm on the final day, and are responsible for transportation to and from Knoxville, TN. Travel assistance may be available for Fellows with over $600 in travel expenses for those who apply by the priority deadline. Commuter plans are available upon inquiry to students who have a permanent residence within 30 miles of the UT-Knoxville campus.
If flying, please book your flight into McGhee Tyson Airport, located about 20 minutes south of Knoxville. The festival will provide shuttles to and from the airport.
The University of Tennessee-Knoxville is located along the Tennessee River just off the intersection of I-40 and I-75.
