Will Hoover is a percussionist and educator from Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville under the tutelage of Dr. Andrew Bliss and Dr. Abby Fisher. While at UT, he has performed with the UT Wind Ensemble and the UT Percussion Ensemble. With the UT Percussion Ensemble, Will had the opportunity to perform at the 2015 Percussive Arts Society International Convention’s (PASIC) New Literature Showcase Concert, the 2016 McCormick Marimba Festival (Tampa, FL), and the 2016 and 2017 Big Ears Festivals (Knoxville, TN). He will be performing Aurél Holló’s Gamelan-bound / beFORe JOHN2 with Ensemble Knox at the 2017 PASIC Focus Day. Will serves as an undergraduate assistant with the University of Tennessee’s Pride of the Southland Band and has taught several high school drumlines in the Knoxville area.
