Alex Ring Gray, Technical Assistant

Alex Ring Gray is a New York-based composer, improviser, and multimedia artist. Drawing upon his interests in astronomy, landscape, and technology, his work deals largely with environment and electronic processes.

Alex works as a music copyist and production assistant for Philip Glass and is currently working with the Philip Glass Ensemble to restore the “forgotten” work Music In Eight Parts (1970). Additionally, he works as a copyist for John Luther Adams and Paola Prestini, and as the Technical Assistant for Nief-Norf. Alex is completing his Master's studies with Michael Gordon and Julia Wolfe at New York University and holds a BM from the University of Tennessee.
