The tuition for the 2019 Nief-Norf Summer Festival is two thousand four hundred dollars ($2400 USD), which includes room & board for facilities on campus. There are numerous ways to lower festival costs by applying by the priority deadline, commuting, changing meal plans, or taking advantage of our referral program.
A non-refundable downpayment of six hundred dollars ($600 USD) is due two weeks following formal acceptance to the festival. This downpayment is required to reserve a position in the festival for accepted applicants. In the event of an absent downpayment, the festival reserves the right to move to the next waitlisted applicant. Please email contact@niefnorf.org if you need more finance options.
All participants are responsible for transportation to and from Knoxville, TN. Commuter plans are available to participants who wish to stay off-campus, and will reduce tuition by $450 USD. Please select the "Commuter" option in your application form if this is the case, leaving you responsible to secure your own housing. Please keep in mind that fellows will be on-campus early in the morning and late at night, so alternative housing options should be in the Knoxville vicinity.
Similarly, participants may opt out of the on-campus cafeteria dining plan, reducing tuition by $250 USD. Please select the "Forager" option in your application form if this is the case, leaving you responsible to secure your own meals off-campus.
Full payment of tuition is due by April 01, 2019.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2019.
